Daniel Kamanga

Daniel Kamanga is the founder and executive director of the ALT Foundation, which conducts leadership training in partnership with universities in Ghana, South Africa and Zambia. Daniel has led numerous projects in Africa’s private sector (media, telecoms and financial services) as well as its development sector (microfinance and agriculture) . He expanded PRIDE Africa’s activities within Kenya and the East Africa region, consulted for the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), and was involved in setting up the AfricanStock Exchanges Association (ASEA). He co-founded Africa Harvest, developing an agricultural initiative funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has also worked for Liberty (South Africa) and WorldStream/Econet Wireless International (EWI, South Africa), represented Africa on the global biotech industry’s Plant Biotech Strategy Council, and headed the Croplife International projects in Africa. Daniel was co-editor of Biotechnology in Africa: Emergency, Initiatives and the Future.
