Joni Praded has been publishing and consulting on the nexus between environment, economy, and politics for more than three decades. She has advised numerous nonprofit and mission-driven organizations focused on climate resilience, systems change, economic transformation, and food security. Her clients have included the Club of Rome, the Earth for All initiative, the Democracy Collaborative, the Next Systems Project, regenerative food systems networks, and numerous publishers and authors. Previously, she was editorial director at Chelsea Green Publishing, developing foundational books, including New York Times bestsellers, on climate change, new economics, food, systems thinking, renewable energy strategies, progressive politics, and community resilience. She also served as director of program advancement for Island Press/Center for Resource Economics. She began her career as an environmental journalist and magazine editor. She serves on the board of directors for the Post Carbon Institute.
