Rachel Barwell

Rachel Barwell is an adult education, literacy, and neurodiversity education specialist. She has worked in corporate, indigenous academic, and prison training environments in Australia and New Zealand. She is a veteran of transformational education and leadership initiatives and now focuses her attention on climate leadership in New Zealand and Zambia, and women’s leadership programs across Africa. She co-designed the 2020 Zambian Climate Leadership Summit. Witnessing environmental degradation and poverty in Tanzania in the mid-1970s, she has maintained a lifelong interest in Africa. Rachel holds a post-graduate diploma in adult literacy education from the University of Waikato.
